Madhouse diaries : New park alert !

Last week, I told you all about all the fabulous parks we have at our disposal in our local area (and all the pet names we have for them !). Well, as of today, we have another one to add to it and it's been nicknamed Zipzip park !

The main attraction, and the thing that makes it unique, is that it has a zip wire that the kids had great fun on. Pierre was slightly nervous the first time but once he'd plucked up the courage, there was no stopping him !

It was an absolutely scorching day so even I decided to have an ice lolly to cool down !

As I mentioned before, there is a distinct lack of swings in our nearby parks so the rare few that do exist invariably have long queues. Well, this park has some tyre swings and it was pretty much deserted when we arrived so the Madhouse kids spent ages on them.

They both also managed to climb to the top of the spider's web climbing frame, although Pierre did ask me to come and rescue him because he couldn't get back down again !

A bit more swinging.

And a million more goes on the zipwire and I managed to convince them that it was time to head for home ! I love the way Juliette even manages to pose when she's hurtling down the zipwire !

    1. No - there was one 500m away that we tried to find though, but I think it's been trashed as I just found a hole in approximately the right place :(

  3. You really do have some amazing parks out there that put our village play area to shame. that said we do pretty well with our own play areas at Coombe Mill and the zip wire is definitely one of the favourite things. Yours looks bigger and stronger though and great fun for big kids too.

Thank you for sharing with me at #CountryKids

  5. Tyre swings sound pretty awesome. Luckily they got to spend ages on them. Our local park is pretty poor too so I'll have to go exploring with my son soon! #countrykids
