Bratz Instapets (Jade) review

The Bratz Besties are back ... and this time they are channelling their inner spirit animals, aka Insta-Pets ! Bratz often get criticised for being over-sexualised with heavy make-up and provocative clothes, but I have to say, this collection looks very fresh-faced, fun-loving and innocent - the perfect role model for any little girl.

We received a Jade doll to review and even from still inside the box, we could see that she had lots of fun and funky accessories to play with.

This collection is all about showing off your adorable pet by snapping cute pics and posting it on Instagram, or dressing head to toe in an outfit inspired by your kawaii cute spirit animal, which in Jade's case is a bobble-headed cat.

Taking the cat-theme to the extreme, Kool Kat Jade can take kitty snaps with her phone housed in a feline case.

She also has kitty-inspired earrings, a cute headband, the iconic Bratz hairbrush and sunglasses that can be used with any of the other Bratz dolls (very Dame Edna Everage, if you ask me !).

Jade's clothes also represent her feline style - her purple cat shirt is very soft and fluffy and goes very well with her pink leather zip skirt and studded pink boots.

We loved all the attention to detail and the wide selection of cat-themed accessories. She's definitely a feline fashionista !

The packaging also highlights a free Bratz app that you can download (no purchase required). A pet is for life, not for Christmas, but I think Bratz Instapets will be winging their way into lots of Christmas stockings this year !

  1. I'm so glad they have toned down the Bratz dolls a little. I remember one given as a gift for dd which was a tarty doll with a baby's milk bottle on a chain attached and huge oversized eyes - weird. But I think the lengths of the skirts could be longer. ;)
