We've been reviewing the Cadbury Easter 2017 Range !

When Pierre came home from school and saw what the postman had delivered, his eyes went as wide as saucers and he said "Mum, the Easter Bunny came early" !

Once we'd finished unpacking everything, I think I was as eggs-cited as he was ! Cadbury had sent us through a lovely selection of their new Easter range, which is a fabulous mix of new products and old favourites, making a welcome return to the shelves for a limited time.

The Madhouse kids were instantly drawn to the Dairy Milk Egg 'n' Spoon boxes (RRP £3.99 - 136g), which contain four eggs (but only two spoons !), in a cool egg-box style packaging.

The eggs have a fluffy mousse filling, studded with pieces of Oreo, which had the kids mumbling appreciatively. I did suggest we have an egg and spoon race but they were too impatient to gobble them up !

They were also delighted to discover Creme Eggs. I used to love these when I was a kid and thought it was fantastic that the gooey fondant filling looked like a real egg. I find them a bit sickly now that I'm older but the Madhouse kids thought they were fabulous.

They are only available for a limited time, from January to April, so make sure you stock up. Pick from a variety of sizes to satisfy your cravings : RRP £0.58 (single 40g egg), £2.85 (5 pack 197g), £6.68 (12 pack 475g).

I have found a brand new gooey treat that I absolutely love though - Cadbury Caramel Eggs, which are the perfect combination of smooth chocolate and sweet gooey caramel. This reminds me of a giant version of the Caramel Keg (now called Golden Barrel, for some strange reason) that I always fight to get first in boxes of Roses - hmmmm !

You can't have Easter without the Easter Bunny and the Madhouse kids loved the Dairy Milk Mini Bunnies.

It's just hollow chocolate, but somehow, it always tastes extra special when it's moulded into a fun shape !

Another all-time fave at The Madhouse - Mini Eggs. We all love the inimitable give when your teeth crack through the crispy sugar shell, then the moment of bliss when the chocolate melts. Delicious ! They are always great for decorating Easter bakes too. We loved the 8-bag multipack of handy treatsize packs.

Another great idea is the Egg Hunt Pack, which contains ten multi-coloured Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate hollow eggs to hide, as well as a packet of Mini Eggs that can be given as a prize to the winner of the game. (Or, alternatively, eaten by Mum and Dad while the kids are busy hunting their eggs !) RRP £4.09 – 229g

The Shell Egg range also includes two new additions this year : Roses and Double Decker, which we got to sample. It's an indulgent option perfect for adults and older children, including a large egg and two full sized bars of crispy cereal and nougat wrapped in delicious Cadbury milk chocolate. (RRP £6.15 - 307g) Other options in the range include : Cadbury Twirl, Dairy Milk Oreo and Dairy Milk Marvellous Creations, Wispa, Heroes and Creme Egg (£6.15).

For those wanting to make an even bigger gesture and demonstrate even more thought and care, you might prefer the Giant and Thoughtful Gesture range, including Dairy Milk, Creme Egg, Mini Eggs, Dairy Milk Caramel and Flake (RRP £9.99 / £8.15)

It doesn’t stop there though! Other additions to the range include the Cadbury Dairy Milk Popping Candy Bunny, four cheeky hollow Egg-Head characters, the Spring Edition Cadbury Dairy Milk bar with white chocolate bunny shapes on top and Cadbury Minis Mix, the perfect people pleaser – a bag with your favourite mix of mini filled eggs including Cadbury Dairy Milk, Cadbury Creme Egg, Cadbury Dairy Milk Oreo and Cadbury Dairy Milk Daim. An impeccable selection of textures and flavours - who says you can’t have it all in life?! (RRP £4.19 – 276g)

Disclosure : We received the products in order to write an honest review.
