What's Cooking at The Madhouse? menu plan 9/6

Phew, the weeks are whipping by at the moment, not least because we have three school trips on three consecutive Fridays. Last week we went to London and a walk along the Thames to St Paul's Cathedral took us right under London Bridge the day before the terror attack. Needless to say, the parents were/are very nervous and a few have pulled their kids out of tomorrow's (or today's, by the time you read this) trip to Dover Castle. Next week is Canterbury, then the Norwegian colleagues are over for a visit, then the school year is pretty much done and dusted. In the meantime, this week is going to be a bit hectic, with after school meetings on Monday and Tuesday, but Sophie has already broken up (her school is an exam centre and she hasn't got any exams this year so she gets an extended holiday !) so she'll be looking after the school runs for Pierre until the end of the year - another phew ! So, this week, I'll need some quick meals, but I also want to experiment with my new Spanish-themed Kitchen Trotter box.

Saturday

lunch - it's that time of week again ... McDonald's ! Actually we've defected to Burger King lately but it's the same idea.

dinner - a fishy gazpacho recipe from Valencia

Sunday

lunch - probably BBQ, if not, it'll be roast dinner.

dinner - fridge grazing or cheese on toast

Monday

dinner - leftover cooked meat from yesterday with pasta, mushrooms, onions, cherry tomatoes & maybe pesto

Tuesday

dinner -chicken curry & rice (from a jar because I'll be home late)

Wednesday

lunch - homemade sausage rolls, mash & peas/carrots

dinner -we've had no roast dinners lately as we've moved on to barbecues for the summer season so I fancy roast potatoes and veg with either pork chops or chicken thighs

Thursday

dinner -grilled salmon with leeks & bulgur

Friday

dinner -frozen pizza or sandwiches - I'll be home late so they'll be fending for themselves again !
