Giveaway #635 : Win a copy of Maze Hop Time Travel - closed - winner Kayleigh-Anne Watkins

However much kids love their hi-tech gadgets, I always enjoy seeing the pleasure they still get from a good old-fashioned activity book. Wordsearches, spot the differences, crosswords and mazes have all entertained generations of kids and their appeal is timeless.

In this fun and educational new book from Carlton Kids, the appeal isn't just timeless though, but also time-travelling ! George and his dog Milly are waiting in their local museum and will take you on an adventure where you will learn all about different time periods and historical events, including  the Battle of Hastings, the French Revolution and the Invention of the Printing Press.

Each double page offers two half page mazes on the right hand side, while the left hand page  provides fun facts, figures and pictures to help you discover famous battles, key inventions and magnificent civilizations.

You don't just work through from start to finish though - each split page maze will link up to another maze somewhere in the book and you have to find its matching pair to continue your time-travelling adventure. That's not all though - as well as finding a pathway through each maze, you also have four objects to spot on the page and take your journey past them on your maze.

It's all very interactive, which is the best way to help kids remember what they've learnt, and the bright colours and numerous illustrations, combined with short texts and interesting facts, will have your kids learning without even realising they're not just having fun !
