The stress-busting colouring trend is still hugely popular with both adults and children, and if you're looking for a new challenge to get your teeth (or at least your colouring pencils) into, the Make It By Hand Kids' Craft One-Sheet Sculpture: Amazing Creatures book takes colouring to a whole new level.

As well as the creative challenge of regular colouring books, this one uses a variety of paper-folding techniques to create 24 beautiful, three-dimensional animal-themed artworks. Some of the details require simple curling or lift-the-flaps.

Others require more complex 3d pop-ups or constructions, but by following the instructions, it's all simple enough, even for children (with a little adult help). When you have finished creating your wonderful works of art, they can be removed from the book and proudly displayed. The book even comes with coloured sheets of paper you can lay beneath the pages to accentuate your 3D pictures.

There are 24 scenes, including a wide variety of creatures, such as fish, horses, a crocodile, a cockerel and an armadillo. I'd never thought of using paper folding and lifting along with colouring but the finished result is really impressive.
