Project Mc2 Ultimate Spy Bag review

We've reviewed several of the Project Mc2 dolls here on the blog, with and without their experiments, so we were excited when we were given the chance to put the Project Mc2 Spy Bag through its paces.

It looks just like a girlie handbag, made of rigid plastic designed to look like quilted pink satin, but hiding inside are all sorts of secret spy gadgets and equipment.

Juliette was instantly attracted to the powder puff compact, because it contains shimmery powder that you can really use as make-up.

However, there's more to life than pretty faces when it comes to the NOV8 girls, so the powder can also be used for collecting fingerprints.

Use the heart-shaped rubber air puffer that is disguised as a perfume bottle to blow away the excess.

And you should have some decent fingerprints to collect.

Use a small piece of sticky tape to pick up the fingerprint. (I thought it was a shame they didn't include some little pieces of tape or adhesive pads in the kit.)

Then transfer it to the fingerprint sheet and label with the date and place you found it.

Pierre had great fun sprinkling dust everywhere and filling up the cards. Don't forget to have a spray cleaner and a duster on hand for your trainee spy to clean up after him/herself !

Pierre couldn't wait to discover the rest of the gadgets and was particularly taken with the secret light hidden in the fake nail varnish bottle, especially when he shut himself in the understairs cupboard for maximum effect ! I was pleased to see that the batteries are included.

There is also a fake lipstick hiding a secret weapon that Pierre thought was great fun - a mini dart gun !

After looking through the sights and pushing the button, the little dart goes flying across the room, much to Pierre's delight !

We were impressed with the quantity and variety of the contents. As well as the things I've shown you, there are also two flasks with lids, two test tubes with lids, a test tube stand and a booklet of experiments to try.

RRP : £29.99
