Giveaway #693 : Win an Amazing Space book - closed - winner Caroline Hemple

A couple of weeks ago, we were busy reviewing the Ravensburger Solar System 3d Puzzle and Pierre was utterly fascinated, asking numerous questions that I didn't have a clue about (luckily, google does though !), so I knew that he'd be the best person to review Carlton Books' new release, Amazing Space. The front cover invites you to "go on a journey to the edge of the universe".

Author Raman Prinja is Professor of Astrophysics at University College London and, in addition to researching astronomy, he has written various science books for children.

This fascinating 48-page book takes you on a beautifully illustrated journey into space, from the Earth's surface to the edge of the universe. Once you have completed your journey to the outer limits of the universe, make your return trip with fascinating infographics, explaining facts and statistics about the universe, in a simple and beautiful way.

Go on a voyage of discovery. Visit the International Space Station, compare the planets of the solar system, and explore galaxies. Learn how stars are born, discover what the universe is made of and what might happen to it in the future.

I lost count of the number of times that Pierre said "wow, Mum ..." !
