Ravensburger Disney Christmas puzzle review

Chestnuts roasting on an open fire
Jack Frost nipping at your nose
Yule-tide carols being sung by a choir
And folks dressed up like Eskimos ...

Well, in the pre-Christmas checklist, here at The Madhouse, we have already ticked off all of the above (oh ok, apart from chestnuts on an open fire, but there was a man selling them freshly grilled in town last week, if that counts !) and we're still in the first week of December ! Last weekend, it was the perfect time for setting up the Christmas tree and dusting off my festive CDs, so to wrap up the perfect Yule-themed weekend, we all sat round together having a go at the fabulous 1000 piece, Disney-themed, Christmas puzzle from Ravensburger.

Before we started digging through the pieces, we all sat around gazing at the box. There is so much to see, including over 60 characters from the wonderful world of Disney ! Starting off with the Fab Four Five, you get Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy and Pluto, all decked out in their festive finery.

Moving on to the front of the train, there is all the Winnie the Pooh gang - Winnie himself, Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet - adding decorations to the locomotive.

The left side of the train has oodles of Disney characters to spot, including those from Alice in Wonderland, Cinderella, Bambi, Toy Story and the 101 Dalmatians.

The festive fun continues on the opposite platform, with Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, Beauty and the Beast, Pinocchio, the Aristocats and Peter Pan joining in the line-up, decorating a majestic-looking Christmas tree and providing some tunes to dance to.

I'll be honest - we haven't completely finished it yet, because we spent far too long buying and wrapping Christmas gifts and stringing up tinsel all over the house, but we're very pleased with what we've managed so far ! It's fairly simple to put together as there are so many different characters to look out for on the box and they're all so easily identifiable, so even the kids have been having great fun. It's reminded me of how much fun you can have while putting a puzzle together, and I've caught up on all the Madhouse kids' gossip now !

RRP : £12.99

Disclosure : We received the puzzle in order to write an honest review.
