What's Cooking at The Madhouse? menu plan 2019 week #23

Back to a normal school week this week - boo ! The weather keeps changing, going from hot summery weather to chilly days, so I'm not sure whether to go with salads or winter warmers at the moment. Maybe a mixture of both then I can swap around to suit the day :)

Monday

dinner - pasta bake, to use up whatever leftovers there are from yesterday

Tuesday

dinner - pork casserole with mash & carrots

Wednesday

lunch - tacos

dinner - sausage bake (with tomatoes, onions, peppers) and rice

Thursday

dinner - BBQ ribs with couscous & ratatouille

Friday

dinner -  probably loads of leftovers to use up by now, if not spaghetti carbonara

Saturday

lunch - McDonald's or similar

dinner - sandwiches, salad or fridge clearout

Sunday

lunch - roast chicken, roast spuds, veggies

dinner - sandwiches, salads or leftovers

  1. The weather is so unpredictable isn't it. Even today, this morning was grey and dull and now the sun is out and it's quite warm.
    Fab meal plan!

    1. It's so hard to know how to dress in the morning - I leave home at 7am so it's still not hot and there are some big surprises !

  2. I always get ideas from your menu plans. This week, you have reminded me that we haven't had tacos for ages. They are ideal for children who like to choose their own fillings. Thank you!

    1. It's a great way of getting them to hoover up salad, sweetcorn, tomatoes, red peppers, etc without a hint of complaint ! :)
