What's Cooking At The Madhouse ? menu plan week 5

Last week, we stuck to the menu plan, except for the chicken leftovers that were made into soup instead of a pie. I haven't tried any new recipes for ages, so I want to go digging through my cookery books again. I have plenty to choose from ! I've got a few bookmarked recipes to work through from online too, which sound like they have a lot of potential.

Monday

dinner - chicken stir fry with the leftover chicken from yesterday, noodles, veg & bean sprouts

Tuesday

dinner - chicken & potato hotpot - based on the ham & potato hotpot on the Onions & Paper blog (thanks for the inspiration Jane !)

Wednesday

lunch - chicken sausages with pasta & ratatouille

dinner - pork casserole in the slow cooker with rice or maybe mash

Thursday

dinner -  pepperoni pizza

Friday

dinner - I'm thinking there will be plenty of leftovers to use up from the pork and/or chicken hotpot - otherwise spaghetti bolognese

Saturday

lunch - our regular Saturday lunchtime fast food trip. Probably McDonalds as usual.

dinner - sandwiches or cheese on toast

Sunday

lunch - Moroccan chicken tray bake (chicken, red pepper, onions, spices) with couscous

dinner - leftovers, cheese on toast or "bits and crisps" (nibbles from whatever's in the fridge)

  1. Well done with the meal planning. It is great when you stick to it. I always give myself a pat on the back when I do. I love the sound of the chicken & potato hotpot. It is a great way to use leftover chicken x
