What's Cooking At The Madhouse ? menu plan week 10

We're back, after a fortnight catching up with the family. It was lovely to have a break, from work and cooking ! Back to normal now though, in terms of work and home life, so it's time to decide what we're eating this week. I get a feeling this week is going to be busy, with lots of extras like things for the kids and work meetings that hopefully won't go on too late. Fingers crossed !

Saturday

lunch - pizza/pasta at a local Italian restaurant, before waving Sophie and my dad off again.

dinner - bacon sandwiches, in the midst of unpacking and sorting out the laundry

Sunday

lunch- sweet & sour chicken stir fry, with loads of veg, bean sprouts and noodles

dinner- pepperoni pizza

Monday

dinner- I have a meeting after work so I need something quick. I think paprika chicken with rice and baby sweetcorn should fit the bill.

Tuesday

dinner- steak with a smoky BBQ sauce marinade, baked potatoes (or maybe mash, if I get home from work late - I'm pretty sure I have another meeting after work *sigh*) and green beans

Wednesday

lunch- spaghetti carbonara. Then I need to dash off to a work session with some colleagues at the library, while Pierre has a birthday party to go to at the bowling alley. Luckily, the birthday boy's mum can pick him up and drop him off - phew ! :)

dinner- breaded chicken for the kids, baked fish for me, with mash/baked potatoes (whatever we didn't have yesterday) & leftover green beans/baby sweetcorn.

Thursday

dinner- I'm thinking there will be plenty of leftovers to use up tonight so it'll depend on what needs clearing out of the fridge.

Friday

lunch- Cornish pasties/cheese and onion pasties (I'll do half and half then the kids can choose) with Ebly & baked beans

dinner - Provençal chicken with rice & ratatouille

Saturday

lunch- back to our regular Saturday lunchtime fast food trip. Probably McDonalds as usual. But first Pierre has a dictation competition to go to - at 9am on a Saturday, bleurgh, no rest for the wicked this week !

dinner- chicken soup or there may be some leftovers to use up
