We're forever blowing bubbles, pretty bubbles in the air !

A couple of weeks ago, Samsam Bubbleman (isn't that a great name ?!) sent me a tweet to ask if we'd like to try out some of his bubble products. I was intrigued and said we'd love to. When this exciting selection was delivered by the postie, the Madhouse kids whooped with joy. I tried to temper their enthusiasm slightly, pointing out that the bubbles never work as well as the packaging suggests and not to expect too much. I had to eat my words on that one !

Pierre started out with the Bubbliser bubble gun. Once I'd inserted two AA batteries (not supplied), this worked really well and produced a constant stream of bubbles, much to his delight.

It also has an LED light on it to make bubbles look extra special in the dark. I'll have to take their word for it as the kids were all tucked up in bed before it got dark ! Once the evenings start drawing in, we may well have a play with this function though.

Pierre had great fun chasing his bubbles all over the car park, making it quite an energetic activity !

Meanwhile, Juliette was ready to move on to the big guns, trying out the Wonder Web triangular net. This didn't look very impressive in the packaging but the results were quite spectacular.

It was quite a windy day which probably helped but Juliette managed to get very impressive streams of bubbles appearing from the net.

It is VERY drippy though so this is definitely one to do outside - on the pavement is ideal, so that it doesn't get slippy. I was glad we hadn't decided to do it on the patio which can get quite skiddy when it's wet !

All the Madhouse kids were lining up to have a go because it was so much fun and created so many bubbles!

I've never seen Pierre looking so excited about making bubbles before !

We were far from finished though - we had this rather nifty Unbelievabubble wand to try out. It slots into a long thin tube of bubble mixture, just like a sword in a scabbard, then opens out at the push of a bubble.

I'll be honest, I was sceptical, but within seconds, Madhouse Grandad - who was itching to have a go - managed to create this monstrous bubble.

It was like watching a firework display, with everyone oohing and aahing as the bubbles got bigger and longer !

Even Pierre managed some gigantic bubbles, showing that it's child's play and needs no special skill or technique.

How big is this bubble ?!

We also have some special Touchable Bubble Magic mixture to try out but it was too windy for us to test this as the bubbles were instantly blown away by the wind. A breezy day is definitely perfect for helping get the bigger bubbles though.

I think one of the really important things is the quality of the bubble mixture. As well as selling ready-to-use and dilutable bubble solution, Sam Sam Bubble Man kindly shares a recipe for making your own on his website.

We had some amazing fun and were incredibly impressed with our efforts but, having looked on the Bubble Inc website, I can see that there is still plenty of room for improvement - Sam Sam and his Bubblologists hold an amazing NINE Guinness World Records and their bubbles are truly mindblowing !
