Next Desert Dream Styling Challenge

You might have noticed a new badge appearing on my side bar recently, declaring that I am part of the Next Blogger Network. Well, I've decided to jump in and get involved with their latest styling challenge. They present their new Autumn-Winter collection below and ask us to come up with out own looks. As they say :

"This week we want to share with you our Desert Dream Collection. The soft palettes of blush, browns, corals and light pinks make for a lighter feel allowing you to ease your way into autumn. This theme brings with it soft wispy pleats, pink and charcoal skinny jeans, wool and faux fur promising a feminine yet edgy look for the transition season.

We would love to see how you would rock the Desert Dream look if you were wearing our roll up skinny jeans http://bit.ly/rl0QXO  !

Would you mix it up with a pleated tunic http://bit.ly/nnBB1T  and a faux fur gilet http://bit.ly/qo40hh  or a peter pan collar http://bit.ly/qZmW9g  and a chocolate tote bag http://bit.ly/nE6xrS  ?

Would you prefer to keep the look relaxed with mid flat boots http://bit.ly/py7S9W  and an angora mix batwing tunic http://bit.ly/nNYqX3  or make it edgy with a belted dress http://bit.ly/qfJkbj  or a sequin cami and snood http://bit.ly/rl0QXO  ?"

As a child of the seventies (and therefore teen of the eighties), I got stupidly excited at hearing the words snood and batwing and couldn't wait to run off and see if they also have mismatched fluo socks and pink pixie boots !

Well, they haven't (which is probably a good thing) but I did uncover these gorgeous goodies that would go together to make a lovely look :

I totally love this gorgeous, floaty tunic which would cover a multitude of sins, matched with a pair of black leggings or opaque tights.

And the tote bag and boots would finish off the look perfectly, making it a great outfit to go through from summer into autumn and even winter.
