CHELSEA FC’S NEW INTERACTIVE CLUB MUSEUM

Exciting news for footie fans, especially those who support Chelsea, but even I like the sound of some of the exhibits and I'm not the slightest bit interested in the game ! Watch the video for a brief presentation and scroll down for more information on the new interactive museum.

Chelsea Football Club recently launched the spectacular new Chelsea Museum, an exciting must-see attraction for all football and sports fans. As the largest football museum in London, the 670sqm space combines the best mix of old and new by using state-of-the-art technology and innovation to offer visitors of all ages an unrivalled interactive experience.

Whether a Chelsea fan or not, the museum has something for everyone. Located onsite, behind the legendary football stadium at Stamford Bridge, the Chelsea Museum brings the Premier League club’s past to life through a combination of audio visual shows and interactive tours. There are 16 different zones to keep visitors entertained for hours ranging from photo opportunities with some of Chelsea’s big players through the use of green screen technology to how a dog bite led to the formation of Chelsea Football Club.

Kids will enjoy showing off their football skills at the shooting gallery, where they’ll receive a video introduction and tutorial from a member of the Chelsea Academy before demonstrating whether they’re the next Didier Drogba in the making. Or for the less active participant, a 40-person seated theatre shows a match day from a fan’s perspective, documenting everything from the game preparation outside the ground to the atmosphere and goal scoring reaction within.

Ahead of the Chelsea museum opening, fans were also invited to shape the content of some of its exhibits. Over 2,000 fans voted on two of the museum’s major attractions, providing valuable input on what they’d like to see form part of the exhibits. ‘The Hall of Fame’ showcases a montage of videos, images and memorabilia of the club’s most popular past players, with striker Gianfranco Zola attracting the highest number of votes, while ‘The Greatest Games’ highlights video footage of the top non-trophy moments from Chelsea Football Club’s illustrious history.

As well as a fascinating collection of Chelsea-related memorabilia, the museum houses some of the most iconic images from the club’s history, marking the traditions, triumphs, sights and sounds that have contributed to one of the most fascinating stories in football. It’s a must-visit destination for sports enthusiasts of all ages.

Sarah Bagg, Stadium Tours & Museums Manager at Chelsea said: “The Chelsea museum offers something for everyone. Packed full of interactive exhibits the whole family will enjoy, it’s the perfect day out for any sports enthusiast or avid Chelsea supporter. Our fans are part of the success of the club so it was important for us to involve them in the selection of some of the attractions. With their input, we’re sure that visitors of all ages to Stamford Bridge will enjoy getting hands-on with the exhibits and learning about the beautiful game.”

Tickets for the Chelsea Museum are £10 adults, £8 children (under 16 years), £32 family (two adults, two children) and £9 concessions. A £2 pre-booking discount applies for all tickets purchased in advance online.

  1. This sounds fab. I have 3 footie mad boys at the moment. Maybe Arsenal will follow suit - that would make them even happier.
