Patak's Limited Edition Turkey Curry Sauce review

Hands up who's eating turkey leftovers for dinner tomorrow ... and the next day ... and the day after that ! Well, if you want a quick and easy but above all tasty way of jazzing up the leftover meat, you could do a lot worse than investing in a jar of Patak's Limited Edition Festive Flavour Turkey Curry Sauce.

We received a jar to review a couple of weeks ago so I actually made it with leftover chicken as opposed to turkey, but it was still really nice. Containing red peppers, sultanas and an assortment of spices, it adds a lovely deep flavour that isn't overly hot so even the kids will enjoy eating it.

You can also throw in leftover roast potatoes, peas, carrots, broccoli and anything else you may have kicking about in the fridge after Christmas lunch because the mild, fruity flavour goes well with a variety of ingredients. You might want to avoid the left over Christmas pudding and mince pies though ! It really brings back to life rather dry turkey breast, adding some lovely moistness and exotic flavours.

It's lovely served with rice, and if you've got any curry left over (leftover curry made with leftover turkey - no waste here !), it's perfect as an exotic sandwich filler or baked potato topper too.

I was also really impressed with the price. A big 500g jar only costs £1 which is incredibly good value. It is available in Asda while stocks last so get in quick, it won't hang around for long. It's light on the calories too (which is great news with all the over-indulging going on over Christmas and New Year) - 100g contains a very reasonable 70 calories.

star rating : 4.5/5

RRP : £1 for 500g
