Playmobil Christmas sets review

6-year-old Juliette is a huge Playmobil fan and every Christmas, her collection grows a bit bigger as Santa invariably leaves her an extra playset or two under the tree. I always love listening to her playing with them because there are so many miniature accessories that she always comes up with incredibly detailed and inventive stories. Now that 2-year-old Pierre has taken an interest in them (under strict instructions not to put them anywhere near his mouth or he'll never be allowed to touch them again until he's turned 18 !), it's even funnier.

Well, Christmas has come a bit early this year as we were sent these two festive Playmobil products to review.

The Christmas room playset is fabulous, allowing your child to excitedly reconstruct their own front room, complete with presents to put under the tree, a dog to go sniffing around for any edible presents and a camera for Mum to take loads of photos to put straight on the blog ! The only thing missing was the man in red himself, so it was very lucky that we were sent an extra accessory pack containing him too !

Your little Playmobil fans will be able to recreate all of the festive Raymond Briggs cartoons that will be on TV over Christmas because you get not only Santa with his sack full of toys but also a jolly snowman. Juliette loves filling up the sack and seeing what else she can put in there as presents from her other Playmobil playsets.

They're perfect as stocking fillers and will give you some great quality time with the kids over the Christmas holidays as you sit playing with them and marvelling at the stories they can come up with with their little figures and accessories.

star rating : 4.5/5

RRP : £15.99 for the Christmas room, £6.59 Santa & snowman

  1. We love Playmobil, and have masses of the stuff - but none of the Christmas range. Maybe next year - most presents have been bought now.
