The MummyFier - The Perfect Way To Ensure Your Mum Does Nothing On Mother’s Day

This made me smile. Make sure your mum doesn't lift a finger on Mother's Day ...  by giving her one of these cocktails which will get her off her head so she spends the day sleeping it off !! Hmmm I like it !! Make sure you watch the video to the end - it's hilarious !

There are only so many smelly soaps, praline choccies and garage flowers a girl can take. So this year, why not serve your Mum something she’ll probably not remember - a breakfast cocktail which guarantees she’ll be relaxed for the rest of the day (and entirely incapable of lifting a finger).

Cookery school hosts Jim and Lucy Fisher, dubbed the modern-day Fanny and Johnnie Craddock, have developed the recipe to pack a potent punch. It was originally created by their daughter Jenny and the cocktail now puts in a regular appearance as a welcome drink for guests attending their Dordogne cookery school.

Into a cocktail shaker pour:

  • 2 measures Grenadine syrup (strawberry or blackcurrant work equally well)
  • 1 measure Curaçao
  • 3 measures gin
  • Handful of ice cubes

Shake well, then strain into a Manhattan glass. Add four measures of chilled tonic water and add a few fresh ice cubes.
Take the rest of the day off!

Here’s a video showing you how to make the cocktail which Lucy had a lot of fun making.
