Loch Ness Bagel Monsters !

A little while ago, New York Bakery Co sent us through a pack of their Fruit & Oat Bagels to try out. Having already posted a review of these bagels, I decided to do something a bit different this time and came up with the idea of creating a Loch Ness bagel monster ! First I cut the bagels in half and toasted them. (I cut one bagel into thirds to make sure I had enough pieces, as I was making three monsters.)

Once the bagels were toasted, I added some ham and grated cheese and popped them back under the grill until the cheese melted. I added a face made out cucumber with a piece of dried cranberry for the eye and some cucumber waves underneath. I also added some olive slices for decoration but you could use any topping you like really.

Two bagels gave me enough to make three Loch Ness Bagel Monsters (leaving the other two bagels for me and Madhouse Daddy !).

You can see from their faces what the Madhouse Mini-testers thought of them !

Clean plates all round !

I think this would be a great centrepiece for a kids' party, making one really long Loch Ness Bagel Monster with a variety of toppings for the guests to choose from.

RRP : £1.55 for a pack of 4
