Fruit Burst Fruity Pineapple & Raspberry review

You may remember a few months ago, we reviewed Del Monte's Fruit Burst, trying out their Sherbert Lemon Orange & Lime and Sweet Apple & Blackcurrant flavours. This time they sent us through some of their new Fruity Pineapple & Raspberry cartons to try out - as well as a fruity Rubik's cube to drive us all mad keep us all entertained !

All three of the Madhouse Mini-testers declared the new flavour delicious, which had me reaching for the carton to check the sugar content ! I was pleasantly surprised actually - each 200ml serving contains a very reasonable 16 calories, 3.4g of sugar and no fat or salt. The sweetness comes from juice concentrate and the sweetener sucralose. The complete ingredients list is as follows : Water, Pineapple Juice from concentrate (12%), Raspberry Juice from concentrate (3%), Citric Acid, Malic Acid, Flavouring, Fruit and Vegetable Concentrates (Carrot, Blackcurrant), Sweetener (Sucralose), Vitamins (B1, B3, B5, B6, B12, Folic Acid, Biotin). Did you notice all those vitamins at the end of the list? One serving provides 30% of the RDA of each of these, which is a handy way of making sure your kids get their required nutrients.

The 200ml cartons are ideal for popping in your bag or the glovebox of the car for snacks on the go, as well as lunchboxes and picnics. We put them in the car for our long 8-hour drive down to Brittany and were pleased to see that the factoids and puzzles on the back of the cartons kept the kids amused for a while even after they'd finished drinking them - always a bonus !

There are still a few days left for you to enter the competition on the Fruit Burst website for your chance to win enough cartons for every school lunchbox until the end of the year, as well as some Fruit Burst Rubik's cubes. Click here for your chance to win. There is also a second competition (here) where you can win an amazing sleepover for 5 kids and 1 adult at the Natural History Museum. How cool would that be ?! And finally, you can grab yourselves a 30p off voucher here for any 200ml multipack at Sainsbury's.
