#SaveSummer Activity 5 : To Infinity and Beyond

We've been having so much fun with all the #SaveSummer activities suggested by ASDA using all the goodies they sent us through. This week's activity was entitled To Infinity and Beyond and had a rather eclectic mix of raw materials - paper plates, cotton wool balls, tissue paper, foil and dental floss, amongst other things. Have you guessed what it is yet?

It was time to get crafty and makes some planets and ASDA had some great ideas for creating different planets in their activity pack. They suggest that as Venus is the brightest planet, you could make that by covering a plate in tinfoil.

Uranus is one of the airy planets (I was so tempted to put in a joke about ur - gassy -anus here !) so they suggest covering it in cotton wool balls and painting it blue. Well, we only had red or green paint but that was good enough !

Not quite sure which planet Pierre was making but he had great fun, whatever it was !

Can you guess which planet I had a go at? Sophie got it straight away, which I was quite impressed with !

We have lots more paper plates left so I'm sure we'll be adding more planets to our Milky Way at some point !

There are plenty of other activities on the #SaveSummer website, with more being made available as the summer progresses so call back often for more summer fun inspiration !
