Pierre makes Peppa Pig Muddy Puddle Cupcakes !

Yes, I know, making cupcakes from a box is cheating but just look at that excited little face ! He never looks that happy when we're baking from scratch !

I'd thrown a Peppa Pig Muddy Puddle Cupcakes baking kit in the trolley last time we were in Tesco's and a rainy Saturday afternoon was the perfect time to bring it out. Inside the box, you get a sachet of cake mix, a sachet of icing mix, some cup cake cases and - the most important part - some edible Peppa and George cake toppers. I couldn't make those from scratch, however hard I tried !

Pierre wanted to do it all by himself so he cracked the egg (and didn't even get any bits of shell in the mix, so I was very impressed !), added the water then mixed up the batter.

He filled the cup cake cases with the mixture.

Then gave Mummy a big cuddle while we waited for them to cook !

As they cooled, we mixed up the icing with some water then Pierre had fun making muddy puddles on the tops of the cakes.

He was very proud of the finished cakes after adding the little Peppa and George stickers !

He's my fabulous baker boy !

The kit makes 12 cakes and has an RRP of about £1.89. Well worth it for the huge smiles you'll get from your little Peppa Pig fan !

Disclosure : We didn't get the kit for free. This is what happens when you go shopping with a Peppa Pig fan in tow !
