Hark the herald bagels sing !

Hands up if your Boxing Day lunch always ends up being a turkey sandwich because you're desperate to start working your way through the leftovers ! Well, how about jazzing things up a bit this year with this recipe for a Peppery Turkey & Avocado Bagel from New York Bakery Co?

Peppery Turkey & Avocado Bagel

Ingredients

New York Bakery Co Wholemeal bagel
3 slices roast turkey (breast works well)
90g avocado
2 large lettuce leaves (iceberg or cos)
1 slice beef tomato
2 tsps mayonnaise
1 tsps American mustard
Cracked black pepper to serve
Method

Stack a lightly toasted Wholemeal bagel with lettuce and juicy beef tomato on a base of mayo. Squeeze on American mustard to taste before finishing with sliced ripe avocado, succulent roast turkey and cracked black pepper. Enjoy!

Top tip: For a more adventurous taste this festive season, experiment with different spices on the turkey such as peri-peri or Cajun.

New York Bakery Co have also launched the perfect festive bagel, the sumptuous limited edition Cranberry & Orange bagel, which is ideal for a special breakfast on Christmas morning. They sent some through for us to try and they reminded us of a fruit loaf. They're delicious toasted and slathered in butter, but they also add a nice twist to turkey sandwiches too.

  2. The Frank Educational Board Game—Master Maths, which I got for my 8-year-old not long ago, is fantastic and fits right in with our other Educational Toys. Playing the game is a great method to keep kids interested and engaged as they practise maths. Most importantly, it strikes a good mix between educational and entertaining elements, so my child stays engaged and doesn't see it as simply another "lesson." If you're in the market for a fun-filled educational toy that teaches maths in particular, this game fits the bill!
