Sunday weigh-in : Babysteps going the right way

For last week's weigh-in, I'd lost almost 1kg due to being flat out in bed and off my food with the flu and weighed in at 83.1kg. The problem with a starvation diet, self-imposed or not, is that when you start eating normally again, all the weight comes back on. Sure enough, I was peeved but not surprised when my weight went back up to 83.6kg midweek.

I was still feeling pretty rough and I still have an annoying cough so my plan of doing the wii-fit every day went out of the window. I did however do a 10 minute/2km endurance jog on Monday and amazed myself by doing two, back-to-back, on Wednesday. Now, I don't know about you but jogging for 20 minutes non stop and covering 4km sounds pretty good to me ! I wasn't totally convinvced about how seriously sporty the wii fit is but I certainly worked up a sweat and could feel it in my legs !

This morning, I was delighted to see 82.9kg flash upon the scales. That's only 200g lost since last week's weigh-in but it means I managed to shift the weight that came back on too. It also means I'm down to the 82 point somethings - woohoo !

Positives of the week

- I ran (well, jogged) 6km this week :)

- Lots of baking with the kids during the holidays and I've hardly eaten any of it !

- I may have only lost a measly 200g but it's taken me down to the 82 point somethings and knocked my badges over to 37lb to go/24lb lost from 38/23 last week :)

Current targets

Last week's target : Don't overdo things on the WiiFit until I'm 100% but start again on a daily basis as soon as possible, even if it's just hula hoop and balance games. Enjoy baking with the kids but don't eat too many cakes ! Go on, aim for the 82 point somethings - they're well in sight ! (DONE !)

This week's targets : Aim for 5 endurance jogs on the wii-fit - that'd be 10km! Get down to the lower end of the 82's

Short-term targets : I have a new pair of bright blue target jeans to fit into ! (Done but I want them to be a bit looser.)

Longer-term targets : Get back to the 70-somethings. Get my badges back to "weight lost" being more than "left to lose"

START WEIGHT :93.7kg
TARGET WEIGHT : 67.8kg
WEIGHT LAST WEEK  : 83.1kg
WEIGHT TODAY : 82.9kg
WEIGHT LOST SO FAR :  10.8kg
STILL TO GO : 15.0kg
CHANGE THIS WEEK : -0.2kg

  1. Well done! Especially for all that jogging on the wii while you still felt rough. I've had the dreaded lurghey for the last few weeks, hence why I've been quiet on the diet front and am only just feeling better now so will hopefully be joining you for a weigh in again next week x
