Heroes in a BATTLE-shell
Turtle power!
That's what the name of the latest Flair blogging project instantly made me keep singing, which eventually made the Madhouse Mini-testers roll their eyes in exasperation !
Pierre on the other hand had more staying power and came over to see what delights from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles range he'd be getting his mitts on this time ! He excitedly discovered the Battle Shell Raphael and also a baddie, the Cockroach Terminator.
The packaging for the Cockroach Terminator explains that this is "the biggest and toughest insect ever" which impressed Pierre ! It used to be Donnie's spyroach before it fell into a container of Mutagen Ooze and turned into this unstoppable monster. Eeek !
Luckily, Raphael is there to save the day and he comes with his trusty ninja weapons, 2 shurikens and 2 half sais, which can be stored away in the battle shell so that they don't end up in the vacuum cleaner by accident !
The grown-ups had a bit of a giggle at Raphael's expression - we couldn't decide if he looked more like a Billy Idol impersonator or someone with constipation !
Pierre had no such qualms though (unsurprisingly, as Billy Idol was way before his time !) and excitedly unpacked them and started playing with them.
Turtles aren't just for boys though - big sister Juliette soon came along to join in the fun.
They had great fun acting out battles and beating each other's figures up with the ninja weapons !
These have been proudly added to Pierre's growing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles toy collection. You may also like to know that the Battle Shell figures are available as larger 30cm toys.
