Kids DVD review : Alpha and Omega: The Legend of the Saw Tooth Cave

The autumn half-term holiday is always a great time for watching DVDs snuggled up on the sofa with a hot chocolate or a bowl of popcorn. Although we like to get out in the fresh air crunching through leaves and collecting conkers, the nights are drawing in and the weather is turning distinctly chilly so I think one or two duvet/PJ days might be on the cards too !

With perfect timing, Alpha and Omega: The Legend of the Saw Tooth Cave, the fourth adventure of the loopy lupine family, has been released on DVD. The Madhouse kids love Alpha and Omega and the rest of the wolf family, partly because they're cute and get into lots of adventures and partly because the films aren't too long - with a runtime of 43 minutes, even Pierre can sit still long enough to watch it all the way thorugh.

In this film, the wolf pack elder gathers the young cubs around to share his precautionary tale about the saw-toothed cave. The cubs sit wide-eyed as the elder tells the story of a cave inhabited by a terrifying creature - no wolf that has entered the cave has come out alive. You guessed it ! Despite the warnings, the young cubs dare each other to be brave enough to venture out to see this mystery cave for themselves…but are they really as brave as they thought?

It's a lovely family movie with a very slightly scary edge for Halloween ! I'll have a giveaway coming right up where you can win your very own copy in my next blogpost - perfect for keeping the kids entertained during the holidays.
