Baby Born Doctor Medical Bed review

Earlier in the week, I reviewed a toy that is sure to be on many little girls' wish lists this Christmas - the Baby Born "Doctor" doll. (Click through to read that review.) We also received the Baby Born Doctor Medical Bed to review, which opened up a whole host of imaginative roleplay opportunities.

I inwardly groaned when I saw that it comes flat-pack but it is actually very simple to put together.

The corners just have little plastic pins to push into the corresponding holes.

You need to press the columns slightly to fit them into the holes on each corner which means that they stay firmly in place until you squeeze them again. It's great to be able to move the bed around - it's on wheels and was whizzing around The Madhouse like a bumper car at one point ! - without it constantly coming apart, as often happens with cheap and cheerful plastic toys.

It comes with a mattress, pillow and cover and it really looks the business once it's made up.

All that was missing was a patient and Juliette went running off to get her Mooshka doll. (You have a few days left to win one of these lovely Sing Around The Rosie dolls in my giveaway and you can also read our Mooshka review here.)

As a parent, I love the fact that it is as easy to take apart as it is to put together so, once playtime is over, it can be disassembled and put back in the box within minutes, helping to keep the kids' bedroom floors free of bulky toys.

It's the perfect accessory to go with the Baby Born Doctor doll, but it could be used with any other dolls or soft toys too.

  1. I hate big toys. Because with two little ladies they take up so much space. But if it can be put and down easily I'm all for it. Never knew this could come apart, thanks :)
