Nairns Astro Bites review

Nairn's have launched a new biscuit aimed at children and they asked the Madhouse Mini testers if they fancied giving them a try. The answer was a resounding yes ! As soon as the box of Berry Blast flavoured space-themed biscuits landed, they asked to try them.

The biscuits are small bite-sized biscuits, perfect for little fingers (and tummies) and they come in a range of fun shapes - we could recognised shooting stars, spaceships, rockets and alien heads, all of which the kids thought were great fun.

They taste fabulous, despite being made wtih wholegrain oats and 40% less sugar than other children’s biscuits. They are also wheat-free and contain no hidden nasties - no artificial colours, flavours of preservatives.

They come in handy 23g mini bags that are perfect for kiddie snacks on the go or lunchbox treats. Each little bag contains 104 calories, 3.9g of fat (of which 1.7g saturates), 14.5g of carbs (of which 4g sugars) and 1.4g fibre. The middle photo shows the contents of one bag so it's a reasonable amount for a child's portion.

When I went to throw the box away, I noticed that there was a sticker in the bottom. There's no mention of this on the box so keep your eyes open or you might miss it !

The Madhouse Mini-Testers thought they were a (berry) blast (!) and have asked if we can buy some more. They are quite pricy, compared to some brands, but they do offer a slightly healthier option and the kids love them.
