The best thing since sliced bread for kids ! (Warburtons review)

Warburtons recently sent us through a rather fabulous hamper that totally wowed the Madhouse kids.

They excitedly unpacked the contents and discovered a gorgeous picnic rug (it folds up with velcro and has a handy carrying handle - how cool is that ?!) and two toys - a cuddly cat and a wooden post van (well, OK, it was actually a tractor but you get the idea !) - that tied in perfectly with the new Warburtons Cat and Van Shaped Sandwich Thins.

The Madhouse kids already love Warburtons Thins - they're beautifully soft, already sliced and are firm enough to not go soggy when filled - but their eyes popped out of their heads when they saw the shaped ones !

I do occasionally use special dinosaur and dolphin shaped bread cutters to make shaped sandwiches for the kids which they absolutely love but I hate the waste - all the crusts and part of the bread gets chopped off - and the fact that they're hard to clean. Warburtons Sandwich Shapes get round both of those problems.

The weather wasn't playing ball so we abandoned the idea of a picnic and sat at the table instead.

Juliette went for a cat one with cherry tomato eyes and nose - it would have been perfect to add chives as whiskers but our plant has gone to seed and the stalks are tough as old boots !

Pierre's van one had cherry tomato wheels.

The kids absolutely loved them and even got excited about other ingredients they could use to decorate them, cucumber wheels, cheestrings whiskers, olive noses ...

They'd be perfect for picnics or lunchboxes - who needs to be a Bento mum ?!

(PS If you're wondering why Pierre is wearing a very girlie necklace, he won it in a lucky dip yesterday and has refused to take it off ever since !)
