Dairy Milk Medley review

It's a tough life being a blogger sometimes, so when Cadbury's got in touch and asked if we'd like to try out their new Dairy Milk Medley bars, it was with heavy heart that I said ok. Who am I kidding? I jumped at the chance, and when they arrived, there was no shortage of willing testers to help me write the review (or at least help during the tasting part !).

There are so many different chocolate bars on the market these days that it must be hard trying to come up with a new idea. The concept behind the new Medley bars is a touch of luxury : quality ingredients that are just too delicious to hide so they sit sumptuously on top of soft centred and silky smooth chocolate.

The bars come in two flavours, the first of which comes with dark chocolate chips, sweet caramelised hazelnuts and zingy raspberry pieces on top. (Although we noticed that they weren't very evenly distributed so some pieces totally missed out on the raspberry.)

The second features rich dark chocolate chips, crunchy biscuit and soft fudge pieces. (Again, the edge pieces seemed to have more fudge than the centre of the bar.)

The bars are both delicious and when I asked what everyone thought, there was numerous plus points that got a mention : the funky "jigsaw" shapes, the bigger "squares" than in usual share-bars, the creamy chocolate, the different flavours and textures of the toppings, the melt-in-the-mouth centre, ...

The 93g bars have a RRP of £1.49 but they are currently also available as a promotional £1 price-marked pack, so get in quick !

Disclosure : We received the product in order to write an honest review.
