Robo Turtle - ideal for packing in your kids' suitcase this summer ! (review)

In just over a month, we'll be heading off for a (hopefully) relaxing break in Lanzarote - it'll be our first foray into the Canary Islands so let us know if you have any top tips. Pierre has already starting sorting through his toys to decide which ones to take - a cuddly toy for night time, inflatables for the pool, colouring pencils and activity books for the plane, a board game for the hotel room, .... Erm how do I tell him that he'll have limited space in the suitcase ?! Luckily, we've just received a Robo Turtle to review and I think it could be the perfect multitasker to take on holiday with us.

The ingenious thing about Robo Turtle is that it is water activated and swims in water but it can also walk on land. That means that as well as playing with it in the pool (with the added bonus of annoying less people than a splashy ball and taking up less space in the case), it will also be ideal for keeping Pierre amused on the balcony or in the hotel room. I can see the kids having great fun making it walk over the edge of the pool then splashing in the water. Even if you're not heading off on holiday, it will happily swim around in the bath or a paddling pool.

I used to have a very basic clockwork turtle bath toy when I was a kid but Robo Turtle uses the latest micro-robotic technology to recreate lifelike turtle movement. It requires two batteries but the great news is not only that these come pre-installed but also that you get a bonus battery. There are four different Robo Turtles to collect (RRP £9.99) as well as a playset complete with Turtle Tank (RRP £19.99).

Disclosure : We received the product in order to write an honest review.
