The ultimate Christmas jumper for chocaholics ! #cadvent #freethejoy

When I saw this pop into my inbox earlier, I glanced at the pictures and assumed it was just another Christmas jumper. Then I read through the attached press release and did a double-take. This clever creation is actually made out of chocolate !

It was created by food artist Jacqui Kelly and will go on public display at Cadbury World, in Birmingham, throughout December. It took three people over 80 hours to make and used over 320 metres of chocolate ‘wool’, which was hand rolled and twisted together to create a stunning knitted effect. Featuring the iconic ‘Cadbury’ gold logo, this delectable work of art incorporates a winter wonderland scene on the back, adorned with some of the tastiest Cadbury Christmas treats, including the Cadbury Dairy Milk Mousse Snowman and Cadbury Dairy Milk Snow Bites.

It might turn into a Christ-mess jumper if you turned the heating up too much though ! A less novel but perhaps more wearable version of this joyfully designed jumper has also been made into a limited edition line of Cadbury Christmas jumpers in the brand’s trademark purple colour, which join the existing Cadbury Cadvent Knitwear Collection, which includes a bobble hat, scarf and jumper – all of which have hidden pockets for stashing away those delicious festive treats. These more traditional woolly items will be sold via www.cadvent.co.uk while stocks last.

Cadbury's Cadvent campaign this year showcases a series of children’s wishes for their loved ones as they come to life each day throughout the month of December. From streets filled with magical Christmas lights to the best ever Christmas cake, Cadbury is spreading festive joy across the nation this Christmas targeting as many chocolate fans as possible. Films of each of the Cadvent wishes are being released daily, on www.cadvent.co.uk.

Disclosure : Cadbury's gifted me a Christmas jumper ... not a chocolate one though !

  1. That is so clever! Probably best worn away from the warmth of the fire. :)
