Sip n' Sound Straws review

I was reading an interesting discussion on a parenting forum the other day about kids who don't like the taste of water and how they end up dehydrated when schools won't allow any other drinks, with other parents saying that water doesn't taste of anything so it's just a case of them being more used to sweet, sugary alternatives. If you have trouble convincing your child to drink plain water, or if you're trying to wean a toddler off baby bottles and onto glasses, these new Sip n' Sound Straws from Flair may well make your life a lot easier.

Visually, they are very appealing with a choice of four cute farmyard animals in the range - a sheep, a cow, a horse and a pig. The fun really kicks off when you start drinking though, because the animals burst into life with noise as your drink passes through them !

Batteries are included and there is a little on-off switch on the side. As well as being great fun and encouraging your children to drink more, they can also help to prevent spillage and stains, as well as protect teeth from decay, if your children are drinking squash or juice.

They cost £5.99 each so they're not too expensive if you want to buy the whole range. You could have fun making farmyard tunes by all drinking at the same time and they'd definitely go down a storm at kids' parties !
