All-weather fun with Tin Can Nautical Knockdown (review)

A couple of weeks ago, we received an email from Halfords, telling us all about their range of toys for outdoor fun and games, including a Meerkat Ring Toss, a Cricket Set and a Hippo Hopper, as well as a Tin Can Nautical Knockdown, which we received to review.

Unfortunately, the weather has gone seriously downhill since the postman dropped it off, so we've had to use it as an indoor toy instead, but as you can see, Pierre has been having great fun all the same. He was so excited about playing with it that he couldn't even wait to get out of his pyjamas ! The cans are quite robust and make a satisfying clunk when they crash to the ground.

The cans come with two beanbags which can also be used for juggling or balancing on your head - both of which are activities that take me back to the retro style PE lessons of my childhood !

But that's not all ! When he'd had enough of throwing the bean bags to knock down the cans, Pierre also had great fun piling them up into big towers. As well as putting them in numerical order, he also experimented with different constructions to see what was stable and what wasn't.

Who knew you could have so much fun with something so simple ?! We also loved the colourful sea creatures designs and the fact that it all comes in a sturdy box which is perfect for keeping everything neat and tidy in one place. Whatever the weather, this is certainly a toy that will keep the kids entertained.
