What's Cooking at The Madhouse? menu plan 20/10

This time tomorrow, I'll be on holiday - woohoo. Two weeks of rest and recuperation so it's time to recharge the batteries but also clear out the kitchen cupboards and my bookmarked recipes.

Saturday

lunch - Time for the traditional KFC/Burger King/McDonald's option

dinner - German potato soup

Sunday

lunch - roast dinner, probably chicken

dinner - leftovers from lunch or fridge grazing - or possibly chicken & veg soup if we had a roast chicken

Monday

 lunch - potato lasagne

dinner - rice-stuffed chard or cabbage rolls

Tuesday

lunch - tagine of meatballs & eggs with bulgur pilavi

dinner - escudella barrejada - a soup with pasta in it

Wednesday

lunch - mushroom chicken with rice or noodles

dinner - baharat spiced duck with Chinese veggies

Thursday

lunch - steak in pepper sauce with mash & veg

dinner - pulled BBQ chicken with rice & coleslaw

Friday

lunch - pissaladière (similar to pizza, with onions, anchovies (which I might replace with tuna) and black olives)

dinner - bacon, veg and pearl barley soup

baking and extras :

mint & onion bread (Cyprus)
bukayo-style coconut creme (Philippines)
gingerbread cookies & creme dessert (Finland)
injera (Ethiopia)
