The busy period at work is behind us, most of the Christmas preparations are done and I can finally start chilling out and taking the time to cook some decent, honest comfort food again. I picked up a bargain cookery book in the sales last year at The Works - Clarissa Dickson Wright's Comfort Food for just £1.50 - and there are lots of dishes in it that inspired this week's menu plan.
