Congratulations to Class 4 (year 5 & 6 pupils) at
Langcot & Fernham Church of England Primary School in Oxfordshire!
They won the 2011 National Schools Storyonics competition.  Walmley Junior
School in Sutton Coldfield and Bankfields Primary School in Eston,
Middlesborough, came second and third respectively.
Mrs Renfrey from Langcot & Fernham said of the
competition, 'It was a good activity to do with a new group of children
so early in the school year.  I really like the collaborative element of
the competition - it is fabulous for sharing ideas and developing imagination as
well as structuring a story.'
Mrs Gatenby from Bankfields said,  'The chance to be part of a
national competition has really raised the profile of writing for our
pupils.'
