Last year, I reviewed (here) a fabulously tasty and healthy antioxidant-packed drink called Mile High Aviation Juice. Well, since then, it has undergone a transformation and has a new name and a new image. Say bye bye to Mile High (and my juvenile sniggering !), time to welcome in AOK.
I've just received a bottle of the new-look drink to try out and reacquainted myself with the fabulously fruity, refreshing, natural taste of the cherry and grape juice. At the time I wrote my last review, Pierre was tiny and I said it was a brilliant drink for mums-to-be or those breastfeeding who couldn't drink alcohol over the festive period.
Well, I'm not pregnant or breastfeeding any more but I still think it's a great drink, both for its taste and health virtues. As they explain on their facebook page : "AOk has been created by our nutritionist and founder Stuart Roberts to provide a convenient way of getting your optimal daily antioxidant requirements from just one bottle; no matter how busy your life is. Each ingredient has been carefully chosen to ensure that there is a synergistic mix of multiple antioxidants. This makes AOk an extremely potent antioxidant drink, which can be enjoyed as part of a healthy active lifestyle. Laboratory industry standard tests have shown AOk to be an exceptional antioxidant drink."
It also counts as one of your five a day and a 250ml bottle only contains 145 calories. If you've made a New Year's resolution to get fit, it can also help you in your exercise routine and the antioxidants are also great for preventing the signs of ageing. Despite the name change, it's still great as an "aviation juice" too, heping combat the effects of jetlag.
But above all, it tastes gorgeous ! There's at least one New Year's Resolution that's easy to keep !
