Another day, another new chocolate bar to review ! No complaints at all from The Madhouse residents though, strangely enough ! This latest offering - yet another new product from Cadbury - is a vanilla twist on the already popular Double Choc Crispello bar that we reviewed here.
The bar comes with the same three bite format - I still find the wrappers hard to get into and am worried about the separate pieces dropping out of the wrapper before I can eat them !
This time, the light crispy wafer-like outer shell is filled with a smooth vanilla mousse then covered in Cadbury milk chocolate. I actually found them a bit too sweet, finding that one piece was plenty, but the rest of the Madhouse Mini-testers (not to mention Madhouse Daddy) had no such qualms and happily munched their way through the rest of them !
Each 10g piece contains 55 calories, 3.5g of fat, 1.8g of saturates, 4g of sugars and 0.02g of salt, making them a light option, as long as you manage to stop after one piece ! The Vanilla Velvet Crispello is currently only available as a 3-piece bar. You'll have to wait until next year for the share bag format to be released.
