Keep the kids busy with POP’s summer drawing competition

I told you about new kids' channel POP a few weeks ago when we reviewed some of the shows currently airing. I thought you might like to hear about their summer art competition which is perfect for keeping the kids entertained and possibly winning some fabulous prizes too.

****************************

POP, the high energy children’s channel for 4-9 year olds has just launched its summer drawing competition. From now until midnight on 11th July, 2014, children are invited to upload their summer themed drawings or creations to www.popfun.co.uk. This could be anything from a picture of a beach or family holiday scene to a picnic or game of rounders in the park – it could even be something as simple as an ice cream or other item associated with Summer.

Entries will be shown both on the TV channel and on POP’s online gallery during the Summer holidays. Six winning entries will then be chosen, and the winners will each receive family passes to Chessington World of Adventures as well as the opportunity to have their creation turned into a giant piece of POP Art – the filming of which will then be featured on the channel.

The POP Art drawing competition is the forerunner to the POP Art Summer stunt campaign running on the channel from 23rd July - 31st August, 2014. As well as activites and competitions this will also feature a selection of shows to celebrate being creative.

POP is the first channel to be added to the Freeview children’s portfolio in eight years, and is also available free-to-air on Sky Digital channel 616, Freeview channel 75 and Freesat Channel 603.
