Echo Falls Alcohol-free Sparkling Infusion review

When Echo Falls sent us through a bottle of alcohol-free fizz to review, I was intrigued. Maybe it was the after-effect of all that festive over-indulgence but I was quite surprised to see just how many people have been mentioning taking part in Dry January on their Facebook and twitter timelines over the past few weeks. There are many reasons for deciding to ditch the booze - maybe you're pregnant or breastfeeding, you could be the designated driver, you might want to give your liver a break or you may be watching your waistline. A 100ml glass of Echo Falls contains a very reasonable 26 calories so it's great if you're trying to shed a few pounds.

I've tried alcohol free wines before and we often buy non-alcoholic fizz like Shloer, but Echo Falls  Sparkling Infusion is completely different - it's a zero percent alcohol drink, made from a delicate combination of fermented grape juice and premium green tea infusion, known as “Tisane”. It's very bubbly and has a unique, fruity but crisp flavour that is more likely to appeal to the grown-ups than the kids because it's not overly sweet.

It looks very posh and the bottle has a cork like proper champagne so you won't feel like you're missing out on the whole champagne/sparkling wine experience if other people are drinking alcohol. It retails at £3.49 a bottle so it is definitely a sophisticated bubbles-without-the-booze option for special occasions. It makes a nice grown-up change to the usual ultra-sweet soft drinks.
