#KitchenClearout September roundup and October linky

It's the end of the month (how did that happen? I swear the kids only went back to school a week ago !) so it's time to see what we've been decluttering out of our kitchen cupboards this month.

I love the way that having a #KitchenClearout involves getting a bit inventive so this East Meets West BBQ Rice was a cross between Oriental Fried Rice and a Tex Mex dish.

Galina's Coconut Orange Cupcakes look delightful and saved the day when she had to rustle up some sweet treats quickly with what was in the kitchen !

I branched out into Overnight Oats - something I've been meaning to try for ages, and a great way to use up some of the sachets of porridge that were lurking in the cupboard. First I tried Coconut Water Overnight Oats with blackberry and apple compote.

The cooking juice from the compote made up a second batch - Very Berry Overnight Oats, which were very purple too !

A bag of microwavable popcorn was transformed into these gorgeous Toffee Popcorn Cookies

These Cheese, Bacon & Mushroom Muffins provided a savoury option.

My Moroccan Chicken with Apricots & Almonds started off as a #readcookeat challenge and ended up as a #KitchenClearout too !

Jane's Tomato & Crispbread Salad looks so simple and tasty and also uses up things that are cluttering up my cupboards, so I'll definitely have to try this one out.

I'm still loving how inventive we all are with our odds and ends. A few months in, I've cleared quite a lot of kitchen clutter so I think I'll have to move on to my spice rack soon - that's an even bigger job !

I can't wait to see what we all come up with this month. Feel free to link up as many posts as you like and if you could add my badge and link people back to this post, that would be fine and dandy ! :)

  1. A lot of great ideas for using leftovers and those things that seem to live forever in the kitchen cupboards. :)
