#Shakeupyourwakeup ideas for Breakfast Week 2016

You can't have missed all the mentions of Breakfast Week on social media this week, so if you're scratching your head, wondering how to #Shakeupyourwakeup, here's a roundup of some fab foodie treats to put a spring in your step when you get out of bed !

These Cheese & Bacon Muffins always get a warm reception, and not just for breakfast ! Sometimes I add extras such as mushrooms, leeks or cherry tomatoes too.

If sweet muffins are more your thing, how about these Peanut Butter & Banana Muffins? The kids always love the idea of eating muffins for breakfast because it seems slightly naughty !

I always love getting a portion of fruit into breakfast and this Cinnamon Toast with Strawberry and Banana Compote is a real crowd-pleaser.

If you have any Christmas pudding or mincemeat cluttering up your kitchen cupboards, these Golden Syrup Breakfast Bars are a great way of using them up. If you haven't, they work with dried fruit too.

If your kids don't have much appetite first thing in the morning, try out some Jungle Breakfast ideas to tempt them to fill their tummies !

If you fancy trying something totally different, how about Ojja? It's a Tunisian dish made of tomatoes, peppers, spicy sausage and eggs.

How about trying the Ultimate Breakfast Muffin at home? If it's good enough for the Golden Arches, it's good enough for the Madhouse !

Or you might prefer a deconstructed version with these Bacon & Egg Breadbaskets.

Have you been trying out anything new this week? If so, share your ideas in the comment below as I'm always on the lookout for new ideas.
