We're back ! We disappeared on a last-minute trip to see the family in England, which was lovely. We went over on the ferry as foot passengers and my dad picked us up from Dover which was much easier and cheaper than the Eurostar and train trip that we undertook in the summer. I hope it will all go back to normal soon though as the Day-2 tests are still expensive (about £60 each, despite having a free test in France 2 days before leaving and all being fully vaccinated - grrrr). Back to school this week but we have Thursday off as it's a bank holiday. Definitely into lots of slow cooker casseroles and winter warmers now :)
Monday
lunch- canteen for me (leftovers for the kids)
Tuesday
lunch- canteen for me (leftovers for the kids)
dinner- twice baked potatoes, stuffed with bacon, mushrooms, peppers, onions, beans and cheese)
Wednesday
lunch- sausages and lentils (with carrots and onions mixed in)
dinner- chicken and chorizo empanadas with rice and salsa (and maybe some guacamole too)
Thursday
lunch - Chicken & bacon ranch casserole (already has rice in it)
dinner- spaghetti bolognese
Friday
lunch- Sophie usually rustles something up for when I get home from work - otherwise sandwiches or leftovers will do
dinner - paella (we haven't had it for ages and I'm trying to remember what I used to add - chorizo, chicken, red pepper, onion, maybe some olives sounds good to me)
Saturday
lunch- McDonald's or equivalent
dinner- pizza or leftovers
Sunday
lunch- roast dinner
lunch- roast dinner
dinner- steak sandwiches (leek quiche for Sophie)
Glad to hear you were able to travel and see your family. It's definitely time for casseroles and warming meals.
