Guess what - the roof is fixed ! Woohoo ! They waited until the Friday so I was pretty much convinced they wouldn't make it but they finally arrived on Friday. They replaced the metal strip that was leaking but they've said that the tiles going down the diagonal sides of the roof (are they the gables ?) could do with replacing so I've asked for a quote for that too. I can start cleaning up the mould patches inside now and I hope that'll be it. Only a week to go until we're on holidays - can't wait. Here's what's on the menu this week.

lunch- French tacos (the Old El Paso take on Pierre's favourite fast food - wraps filled with chicken, avocado and cheese sauce - the fast food version has chips and salad instead of avocado but that sounds good to me)
Tuesday
lunch-leftover pork lomo, mash and peas/carrots
dinner- chilli con carne with rice
Wednesday
lunch- sausages and lentils
dinner- leftover chilli con carne with baked potatoes
Thursday
lunch- canteen for me, leftovers for Pierre
dinner- battered fish, rice and peas
Friday
lunch- spaghetti bolognese
dinner - pork fajitas with guacamole, rice and salsa
Saturday
lunch- Moroccan chicken and chickpeas with couscous
dinner- Deliveroo
Sunday
lunch- baked potatoes with bacon, onions and cheese
dinner - creamy chicken (with bacon if there's any left) and pasta
