Our menu plan got thrown off track last week as Juliette was home for the weekend and made a lovely lasagne, then we tucked into raclette on Sunday (boiled potatoes, hams and salami, covered with melted raclette cheese). It's a classic French dish and was appreciated by everyone. We also bought some steaks from the reduced section which weren't on the plan either. We're into our final menu plan of the week now as we'll be visiting family over Christmas and New Year. Christmas still seems miles away but it'll be here very soon. I hope you all have a lovely Christmas and see you at the start of January.

That raclette sounds so good, and I love how the menu changed naturally when Juliette came home and made lasagne. The idea of planning around leftovers is really practical, especially during such a busy time of year. The spicy pork with lentils and rice sounds delicious, while sweet and sour chicken with noodles would definitely be a favorite here. I also like leaving Friday night flexible — sometimes leftovers or an easy takeaway is exactly what you need. I’ll definitely keep this menu idea in mind for future weeks: spin mama app
