I have some great news for fans of critically acclaimed, long running series Moving On. Series Seven arrives on UK DVD for the very first time on 7th November 2016, courtesy of Simply Media, with series four, five and six also currently available (and series eight in production).
Created by multi award-winning writer Jimmy McGovern, Moving On features stand-alone episodes, so if you haven't watched the earlier seasons, it really doesn't matter. The series explores complex issues all linked by the common theme of characters who reach a turning point in life… and then move on.
As usual, the series features a stellar line up of actors including Eastenders’ Shane Richie, Cold Feet’s John Thomson and Coronation Street's Julie Hesmondhalgh, as well as Steve Evets (Looking for Eric), Eve Myles (Torchwood), Joe McGann (The Upper Hand), Kerry Godliman (Derek), Samuel Anderson (Doctor Who), Katherine Rose Morley (Last Tango in Halifax), Chris Coghill (Eastenders) and footballer Billy Fellowes. I always love seeing famous faces in unfamiliar roles, particularly when they have long-standing soap roles, and it's refreshing seeing them as a completely different character.
Series seven of this hugely popular, thought provoking series was originally broadcast earlier this year and comprises five episodes, covering a range of challenging themes including domestic abuse, alcoholism, cyber bullying, confrontations, truths and lies, and love and loss.
