Our evening with the Norwegian teacher group yesterday ended with some nocturnal concerts by firelight - these big metal balls were filled with coals and looked like fiery planets in an unknown solar system.
We left at 11pm and it was still twilighty but I can imagine it looked even more spectacular in complete darkness.
It was still impressive though - the fiery arches in the background were particularly popular with people lining up to take selfies under them !
Wow that looks amazing 🌟 #mysundayphoto
ReplyDeleteThey look amazing, would love to see them live
ReplyDeleteThey look amazing, but I'm a little afraid of fire, I even get nervous at BBQs, so I don't think I'd be taking a selfie under a fire arch!
ReplyDeleteI was a bit surprised at how close people were letting their kids get
DeleteHow amazing, they look very cool
ReplyDeleteThank you for linking up
What an amazing sight, it sounds a wonderful evening for everyone
ReplyDeleteThose lights look amazing! How interesting. #MySundayPhoto
ReplyDeleteWhat spectacular shots. I've never seen anything like those coal balls.
ReplyDeleteSo atmospheric on a warm summer's evening, love the giant coal balls too!.. #mysundayphoto
ReplyDeleteThey were cool, like meteorites or fiery planets ! I'd never seen them anywhere before :)
DeleteCool shots - love the way you've captured the light.

I'm not sure that would pass health and safety in the UK! Still looks amazing though. Must have felt very hot.
ReplyDeleteAgreed - I was worried about how close some of the kids were getting, plus people were settling in for a night of drinking in the bars around the concerts so it was an accident waiting to happen ... but interestingly enough, it didn't ! :)
