Drumond Park’s Rapidough, the UK’s original and most popular team game of modelling charades, is a fantastic game for the whole family to get involved in. Pierre had great fun playing it with his grandparents on a recent visit.
One player from each team models at the same time, using a card picked from the box. This means that there's no boring waiting around for your turn. Each team has a ball of modelling clay (either blue or yellow), a modelling tool, a plastic dough mat and a dough plugger, to remove one portion of dough from the losing team's clay.
There are no complicated rules to learn. You just pick a card from the box and start modelling the word that is on it while the other members of your team try to guess.
.This is a lot funnier than it sounds, as the other modeller simultaneously uses the same card and knows what they should be saying !
In each round, the first team to identify what’s been modelled correctly is the winner. There’s a sting in the tail of cours - at the end of each round, the losing team has one ‘plug’ of dough taken away from them. This means it gets harder to model when you have less dough to work with !
Can you guess what this one is? Chocolate, of course !
What about this one? Totem poles !
You get about six plugs worth of clay per team, so it's not a very long game to play. It's a lot of fun though, and it's ideal for all ages - kids, adults, or a mixture of both.
Age 8 to adult, RRP £27.99
