Snuggly Rascals Children’s Headband Headphones review

A team of dads, all of whom have small children, set out to design a set of headphones that their kids would love, would be comfortable to wear and, even more importantly, would protect their ears – the Snuggly Rascals headband headphone was born and it's just launched in the UK.

We received the cat one to review and it made me laugh to see that 12-year-old Juliette thought it was the coolest thing ever !

It's a simple but clever idea. The headband is made of a soft fleecy material with a Velcro fastening so you can get the perfect fit for your child's head. The speakers can be removed and the headband popped into the washing machine so sticky fingers will never be an issue and parents can be reassured as the volume is limited to below the recommended 85 decibel level. This means that children’s hearing, which is more susceptible to noise induced hearing impairment than adults, is fully protected and Snuggly Rascals even muffle external noise, offering additional protection.

Juliette loves wearing it as a headband even without the headphones to keep her hair out of her eyes and keep her ears warm. She said it's really comfortable to sleep in, if she's listening to music on a long car or plane journey, and it's great for lying on her bed listening to music or youtube videos if she wants to block out the noise of the washing machine or her little brother being noisy !

There are eight cool character designs to choose from, ranging from a penguin or a giraffe to a monster or a plane. There's even a unicorn, which is sure to be an instant hit ! Kids can even vote online on which Snuggly Rascal they would like to see next.

Parents have the added benefit of knowing that by buying a Snuggly Rascals headphone for their children, they will also be helping other children who may not be as fortunate as their own. The team at Snuggly Rascals felt strongly, as parents themselves, that they would like to support different children’s charities each month and for every headphone sold, 10% of the profits is donated to the charity.

Snuggly Rascals can be purchased from www.snugglyrascals.com for £14.99 and are ideal as a gift this Christmas or for Santa to pop into a stocking. Suitable for children aged three and above.

Disclosure : We received the product in order to write an honest review.
